On May 11, the Glenbard District 87 Board of Education approved naming Glenbard East Assistant Principal for Student Services Antoine Anderson the next principal at Glenbard East, effective July 1. Anderson will replace Shahe Bagdasarian, who will become principal at York High School.
Anderson said, “I am both humbled and honored to be selected as the next principal of Glenbard East High School. This is a great place that I’ve called home for many years and I’m excited to continue working and partnering with our dedicated and hardworking staff, as well as the community, in equipping our students with the skills and competencies necessary for 21st century success.”
Superintendent David Larson said, “After a comprehensive search and selection process, I am pleased we have such a talented and experienced front line administrator as Mr. Anderson, who will now be serving as Glenbard East’s principal. He is highly respected by students, staff, parents and the greater Glenbard East community. I am confident he will continue the longstanding reputation of Glenbard East being one of the most respected high schools in the region.”
Anderson has been assistant principal for student services at Glenbard East since July 2013. In addition, he has experience as dean of students at Glenbard East and Maine West High School and as a business teacher at Maine West and Rich South High School.
He earned a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from Concordia University in River Forest, a master’s degree in secondary education and teaching from Olivet Nazarene University and a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Olivet Nazarene University.
