Highlights of student achievement, responsible planning

In Glenbard, we prioritize fostering an environment where students thrive academically; discover their passion and interests; and grow in their character. We are proud of the rich and diverse backgrounds among the students and families that we serve.  Some of our achievement highlights include the following:

  • Glenbard students who enroll in a 4-year college have a 91% graduation rate, compared with 63% nationally.
  • 80% of our annual graduates enroll in 2-year or 4-year college, compared to 62% nationally.
  • Our average SAT score is 51 points above the state average.
  • Our students outperform the state average in literacy, math and science.
  • Glenbard students are earning college credit through Advanced Placement at rates nearly twice the state and national average.

 

Additionally, Glenbard has a history of responsible planning and fiscal stewardship, as demonstrated by:

  • Lowest debt tax rates of 7 DuPage high school districts
  • Fourth-lowest debt per pupil of 13 districts (high school and K-12) in DuPage County
  • Nearly $5,000 less per pupil spent compared to peer school districts
  • Since 1971, Glenbard has maintained minimal referendum debt
  • Glenbard provides excellent programming & achievement despite maintaining one of the lowest Operating Expense per Pupil among peer school districts
  • Perfect 4.0 Financial Profile Score from the Illinois State Board of Education and financial recognition from ISBE for 17 years in a row
